Elizabeth Moreno Damm (1983)
Her work has focused on documentary photography, primarily in Baja California Sur, where she has explored life in the mountains and along the coast, as well as the transformation of the natural environment. Her distinctions include First Place in the Work-in-Progress category of the Daylight/CDS Documentary Photo Awards (2010), the Jury Award in the El México de los Mexicanos II competition (2014), and the Fujifilm GFX Challenge Grant Regional Award (2022).
In 2019, she independently published her first book, Cerca de la tierra, with support from FONCA. The book features her documentary photography project on everyday life on the ranches of Baja California Sur, developed between 2010 and 2019. This body of work has received awards and has been exhibited both individually and collectively in Mexico and abroad, including Colorado, New York, North Carolina, and Nevada in the United States, as well as Spain, France, Chile, and Japan.
